I was born in The Deep South, and raised in a military family. I went to a different school in a different state every year from kindergarten through my junior year of high school, all over the USA. The household that I was raised in was oddly split, by gender, between Christian and Muslim; the men were Muslim, the women were Christian.
I was never properly introduced to Islam, because my mother and father separated when I was a toddler. The home situation was complicated and I grew up personally agnostic. I went through a stint of atheism in my early adulthood, but it didn't stick. After getting out of the US ARMY, I had a pretty traumatic NDE in the winter of 2020 and admittedly haven't been the same person since.
I found solace and healing in Hermeticism, Philosophy, and the works of Carl Jung. While nurturing a relationship with The All, I was reintroduced to the axiom: "Know Thyself." I took this quite literally—as a former linguist fascinated by how names shape identity—and dug into the history of my own. I became a Son of Horus, developing a real taste for mythology and the stories that have raised civilizations, religions included.
Diving deeper into these tales brought me to the Mysteries of Osiris. I came to understand Osiris as all of us, and my job as a Son of Horus is to allow him to express his will through me.

What is the work?
I am a mystic‑theurgist—one who works with the gods in disciplined discernment. Typically, I accomplish this through Pathwork. My primary Patron is Aten—the subconscious mind and portal to new dimensions, symbolized by the Sun's Disk.
I am also a Law & Justice Undergraduate at the William O. Douglas Honors College of Central Washington University, studying Public Policy. The focus of my academic and professional work is on establishing nutrition, shelter, and education security for all—an aim inspired by the 1948 UN Declaration of Human Rights.
Finally, I serve as the Herald of Metamodern Atenhood—a henotheistic path grounded in the 42 Ideals of Ma’at. It places no deity above another, instead reminding us of humanity’s shared divinity freed from the constraints of conventional language.
My books invite readers to see themselves as the Hero in every journey while also peeling away the illusion of separation between self and that which constitutes the corpus of divinity.
I dream of experiencing the birth of an age beyond human-on-human predation, and my life is my devotion to this dream.
I am Heru Ba. Let's get started.

-
Aten’s Crown—formally the A.R.C. (Anno Renatus Concordia)—is the living helio‑selenic calendar and spiritual diadem of Metamodern Atenhood. Imagined as a radiant circlet of sun‑disk and crescent, it rests upon every practitioner’s brow, reminding us of each soul journey from bondage to sovereignty. Practically, the Crown synchronizes our rituals and festivals to solar and lunar cycles; philosophically, it embodies the union of inner spirit and cosmic order—the universal subconscious mind mirrored in the Sun’s light. In short: it’s our calendar, compass, and coronation all in one.
-
A.R.C. stands for Anno Renatus Concordia—“the Year of Reborn Harmony.” Each 13-chamber cycle marks a fresh concord between self and cosmos, much like the arcing path of Aten bridging sunrise and sunset. Naming the Crown a “year” reminds us that remembering one’s inner divinity is a matter of time, where every day is its own coronation.

Heru Sematawy—raised by the nickname Noah—re‑imagines the biblical Ark as a vessel of consciousness rather than wood. Aten’s Crown contains three subtle “decks”: the upper tier shelters the flying things of the cerebrum (imagination and vision), the middle tier hosts the beasts of the limbic brain (emotion and memory), and the lower tier steadies the crawling things of the brainstem (instinct and survival). Guiding these levels toward synchronized harmony is the Crown’s voyage—just as the Ark ferried every form of life toward a renewed world.
